The Focus and Feature of Development

The department encourages teachers to put emphasis on both theory and practice when they teach, creates a strong industry-academia linkage, and establishes research features not only to help industrial upgrading, but also to enhance the efficiency of business and financial management. 

The future prospects are mainly to coordinate with the world trend of financial liberalization and internationalization, nurture professionals with financial as well as ethical and moral knowledge. The teaching is mainly based on theories with practice, hoping to educate junior staffs, mid-level financial professionals with international perspectives, and citizens with humanities, professionalism, business ethics and social responsibilities.

Teaching Environment and Curriculum

The Department has two well-equipped financial professional classrooms with a virtual exchange system and financial application software installed. Investment competitions are held regularly to enhance practical knowledge for students. There are also innovative and ample teaching instruments such as air conditioning, wireless Internet access, an electronic lectern and a projector in classrooms. 

In the curriculum, three major characteristic programs of financial affairs, securities and finance are highlighted, and analysis, management and other courses are strengthened. The department emphasizes on the education of technical expertise based on both theory and practice to fulfill industry demands, and helps students develop the financial profession and techniques.
