Department of Interior Design

【Objectives】

To improve living space quality, the department aims to instill students with professional design capabilities such as spatial planning, interior design, construction management, and design research to prepare them for the design industry. Our faculty has a variety of teaching specialties, including interior design, architectural design, product design, universal design, computer-aided design, building physics, and construction management.

【Characteristics】

The Interior Design Department was established on August 1st, 2002; the Master’s Program was offered from August 1st, 2009. This department is the only interior design department founded among the national universities of Taiwan.

Future development in the department focuses on teaching students professional design knowledge and skills including sustainable design, building rehabilitating design, environmentally friendly design, intelligent space design, culturally innovative design, and design management.
